COVID-19 Update
We are so glad to be able to welcome guests to North lodge again from 4th July. The safety of our guests is paramount, and we always give the highest attention to cleanliness. In line with guidance we sanitise high touch and all other relevant surfaces between stays.
The cottage is situated in its own private grounds with a large private garden, quite apart from any other houses. Self-check in and checkout is available, with private parking adjacent to the cottage.
Please contact us if you have any questions.

North Lodge is located on a working farm in the heart of the Dorset countryside, with the sandy beaches of Poole and Bournemouth, as well as the spectacular World Heritage Jurassic Coast, from Lulworth Cove to Lyme Regis, just a short drive away.

Open the french doors wide in summer, watch the flames in the woodburner on a winter’s evening, here is the place to kick back and relax – the rest of the world… a world away.
Relax and unwind

North Lodge sleeps 5 comfortably. There are two double bedrooms upstairs with king-sized beds, pine panelling and pitched ceilings. On the ground floor there’s a single bedroom which can also be used as a study.
“We didn’t want to leave this beautiful cottage with stunning views across the countryside … A lovely country location, with the hosts just down the lane if we needed anything (which we didn’t). We thoroughly enjoyed our break and look forward to returning.” Caroline

The fully fitted kitchen has everything you need to prepare holiday meals, whether a quick snack or full dinner.
The adjacent dining room seats six and provides a social hub at the centre of the house.
Explore countryside and coast

North Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the countryside and coast of Dorset. Close by you’ll find river walks along the Stour, and walks up Hod Hill and Hambledon Hill offering spectacular views.

Then there’s the Cerne Giant; NT houses and gardens such as Kingston Lacy and Stourhead; Shaftesbury’s famous Goldhill; as well as Dorchester and Prince Charles’s Poundbury, to name just a few.
Younger visitors will love Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum and Corfe Castle, as well as Swanage Railway and exploring the lost village of Tyneham (we can give you directions)!
“We only stayed for two nights but we wished we had stayed longer. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has a real homely feel. Every consideration has been taken to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay, everything was perfect and there was everything anyone could need.” Sam
